Everyone needs something to look forward to, right? Well my something is a good book. Hopefully one so great that I can’t put it down.
When it comes to books, it amazes me how differently people can interpret them. Especially when it comes from the same book that you have just read. Before I joined my first book club, I didn’t venture very far from the genre of book that I was accustomed to. But our book club opened my eyes to all the different books out there and how great they are. So I think I can safely say that I do not read any one particular genre anymore.
As enjoyable as reading is for me, I take as much pleasure talking about and discussing books too. These discussions can be eye opening, and with any luck, will challenge you to think about things differently. It might even be a unique way of relating to someone else. Especially if that someone has had similar experiences as to what was read in the book.
My reviews about the books I have read so far are just that, reviews. My purpose is to write about what I have experienced and felt throughout each book. And I certainly don’t want to offend any authors by any means. I just want to relay my thoughts and feelings and perhaps will hopefully look at a book differently than I originally had, based on other people’s opinions and perceptions. My goal with this website is to spark conversation.
I look forward to reading everyone elses’ thoughts about their reading experiences too. I welcome and would appreciate any input, advice and/or conversation that you can offer to the website.
